Although a hospice chaplain inevitably sees a lot of people come to the end of their lives, there are also a lot of rewards. To be allowed to offer support to bereaved families, and to pray with the dying, is a great privilege. We are not there to evangelise, and are happy to be with people of any faith or of none. The important thing is to assure them that God is not the enemy, but the greatest resource they have to help them in their time of trouble.
